We’re both long-term tabletop roleplaying game masters and proactive role playing enthusiasts. We think everyone should try this style of play to see how it changes your game. We provide easy ways for game masters to do that with free DnD 5e encounters on this site and with our upcoming book.
We’ve recently appeared on the following shows:
The Storyteller Conclave Ep. 207 | Reactive Play vs Proactive Play with Jonah & Tristan Fishel
Roll Play Grow Ep 70 | Writing a book about Proactive Roleplaying with the Quest Brothers
If you’ve got a show about roleplaying games or storytelling and would like to chat, get in touch! We’d love to talk with you about proactive roleplaying and how it can transform tables. Send us an email at thequestbrothers at Gmail.
Jonah Fishel has been playing TTRPGs for nearly twenty years, and has game mastered far more than his fair share of campaigns. Away from the gaming table, Jonah is a learning differences tutor. He lives in Durham, North Carolina with his wife, daughter, and dog.
Tristan Fishel is an author and RPG writer living in Newport News, Virginia. He’s been playing TTRPGs for only slightly less time than his brother, having started his experiment as a guinea pig for Jonah’s dungeons. Tristan has written several adventures, rules expansions and other content for both 5e and a few of his other favored systems. In his spare time, Tristan enjoys running home games for his friends, writing fiction, and serving as a devoted caretaker to his beloved cat, Cupcake.
